Privacy Policy
Who we are. Chennas Technologies ("we", "us") is a placement agency for data and analytics professionals, located at No. 50, Avvai Thiru Nagar, Chinmaya Nagar, Chennai — 600 092, India. We are the data controller for the personal information described below. For any privacy matter, contact sami@chennastechnologies.com or +91 91766 33245.
What we collect. When you register as a candidate or enquire as an employer, we collect what you send us: your name, contact details, CV/résumé, work history, skills, salary expectations, preferred markets, right-to-work information, and the content of your messages to us by email or WhatsApp. We do not collect data about you from other sources without telling you.
Why we use it. We use candidate information solely to match you with suitable roles, prepare you for interviews, and manage your placement. We use employer information solely to understand your vacancy and deliver shortlists. Our legal bases are your consent (which you may withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in providing recruitment services you have requested.
Who we share it with. We share a candidate's profile only with prospective employers, and only with that candidate's agreement for each role. We never sell personal data, never publish CVs, and never broadcast profiles to databases or job boards. Employer vacancy details are treated as confidential and shared only with candidates under consideration.
Where it is processed. Our team operates from India, so your data may be processed in India as well as in the country where you or the employer are located. Wherever it is processed, we protect it to the standard described in this policy.
How long we keep it. Candidate profiles are kept for up to 24 months from our last meaningful contact, so we can match you with future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Employer records are kept for the duration of our engagement and as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights. Depending on where you live (including under the UK and EU GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and Canada's PIPEDA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email sami@chennastechnologies.com — we respond to all requests, whichever country you are in. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and analytics. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. The only third-party resource it loads is the Archivo typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a standard request (including your IP address) to Google's servers; Google's own privacy policy governs that request. Messages sent via the WhatsApp links are governed by WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy.
Security. We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to make your placement happen, and we use reputable, access-controlled services for email and storage.
Terms of Use
About this website. This website provides information about the services of Chennas Technologies. By using it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Candidate services. Our services are free for candidates — always. Registering with us does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or a placement; hiring decisions rest entirely with employers. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you provide, and you must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the legal right to work in any country for which you ask to be considered.
Employer services. Placements for employers are governed by a separate written agreement, signed before work begins, which sets out the agreed fee, payment terms, and the replacement guarantee. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance; fee structures described here are indicative and confirmed only in that agreement.
Acceptable use. You may not use this website or our contact channels to send unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent material, to misrepresent your identity or qualifications, or to solicit our candidates or clients for competing services.
Intellectual property. The Chennas Technologies name, logo, and the content of this website belong to us. You may not reproduce them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website or from any recruitment introduction, including an employer's hiring decision or a candidate's performance in a role. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes and governing law. We may update these terms and this website at any time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. These website terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer or data protection rights you hold in your own country. Employer agreements state their own governing law.
Disclaimer
We are an intermediary. Chennas Technologies introduces candidates to employers. We are not the employer for the roles we place (except for our own staff), and we do not control employers' hiring decisions, compensation, working conditions, or employment terms.
No guarantees. We do not guarantee that any candidate will be placed, that any vacancy will be filled, or that any placement will continue for any length of time. Role details, salaries, and timelines described in our communications are based on information provided by employers and may change.
Not legal or immigration advice. Nothing we publish or say constitutes legal, tax, visa, or immigration advice. Right-to-work and visa eligibility are matters between the candidate, the employer, and the relevant authorities; verify your position with a qualified adviser before relying on it.
Third-party links. Links to external sites and services (including Google Fonts and WhatsApp) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
